Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking an Inclusive Learning Advisor to join the Ellesmere Port campus team. You will provide high-quality support for students with SEND and inclusion needs to help them reach their educational and developmental potential.

The role sits within Learning and Learner Services, delivering direct support, assessments, planning, and regular reviews across a caseload. It requires a degree, Level 2 English/Maths, safeguarding knowledge, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent is required.
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience of working in a learning support capacity.
• Good working knowledge of SEND and/or inclusion needs.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and learning.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and/or inclusion needs, supporting their achievement, attendance and retention.
• Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students.
• Liaise with College staff in planning appropriate support for learners with SEND, including exam arrangements and careers advice.
• Produce SEND support plans.
• Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
