Job summary

Cheshire College South and West Ellesmere Port campus is seeking an Inclusive Learning Advisor to provide high quality support for students with SEND and inclusion needs, helping them reach their educational potential.

You will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, coordinate with college staff to plan appropriate support including exam arrangements and careers guidance, and lead EHCP consultations and annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification.
• Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths required.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience of working in a learning support capacity.
• Knowledge of SEND and inclusion in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and inclusion needs to support achievement, attendance and retention.
• Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students.
• Liaise with staff on planning support for learners with SEND, including exam arrangements and careers advice.
• Produce SEND support plans.
• Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
