Job summary

Cheshire College South and West is seeking an Inclusive Learning Advisor to join our Chester campus. You will provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND to help them achieve, attend and retain in their studies.

The role includes pre-entry assessments, regular reviews and liaising with staff on appropriate support and safeguarding arrangements. The position is permanent and full-time, offering a salary in the range of £29,838 to £32,579 per annum and an opportunity to

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent required.
Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Experience of working in a learning support capacity.
Good working knowledge of students with SEND and/or inclusion needs.
Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and/or inclusion needs; support achievement, attendance and retention.
Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students.
Liaise with College staff in planning appropriate support for learners with SEND, including exam arrangements and careers advice.
Produce SEND support plans.
Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
