Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a SEND Implementation Support Officer to bridge services, schools and families in the delivery of SEND strategies. The role focuses on supporting SENCo teams to implement provision and ensure effective EHCP processes across settings.

With substantial SEND experience, you will join a team dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND, working countywide and coordinating with education, health and care partners to secure timely,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in schools with children and young people with SEND.
• Knowledge of support across a range of SEND including strategies and interventions.
• Excellent relationship-building with diverse stakeholders to ensure EHCP delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support SENCos to understand provision through Ordinarily Available Provision, EHC plans, and arrange delivery.
• Be a core member of the Experts at Hand Teams across the County.
• Deliver quality checks on behalf of the authority (e.g. section F checklist).
• Attend decision-making forums to support quality decisions for children with high needs.
• Develop and secure high standards of achievement and inclusion for SEND within the Council's policy and budget.
