Zusammenfassung

Hertfordshire County Council seeks a SEND Implementation Support Officer to coordinate SEND provision and support across schools and settings. The role bridges services, families and young people to implement SEND strategies and ensure timely EHCP delivery.

You will work with SENCos, professionals and partners to improve inclusion and outcomes, manage data and contribute to policy development while travelling across the county as required.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience working in schools with children and young people with SEND.
• Knowledge of SEND strategies, approaches, and current interventions and how they are put into practice.
• Excellent relationship-building with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver EHCPs.
• Knowledge of EHCP law and procedures (Children and Families Act 2014, SEN Code of Practice 2014, Equalities Act 2010).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines and manage conflicting demands.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.

Aufgaben

• Support SENCos to understand provision through Ordinarily Available Provision and EHC plans and plan delivery.
• Deliver quality checks on behalf of the authority (e.g. section F checklist, readiness checks).
• Attend decision-making forums to support quality decisions and support settings with needs.
• Develop high standards of achievement and inclusion for children with SEND within policy and budget constraints.
• Prepare information for schools, parents and young people in a simple, usable format for engagement.
• Collaborate with education, health and care professionals to ensure effective case management and timely outcomes.
