Job summary

Amplify Education is seeking a proactive administrator to oversee the hub provision day-to-day under the SEND support manager, supporting SEND students in a secondary setting.

The role emphasises using co-regulation to support emotional needs, promote engagement, and help pupils return to lessons, with full training provided.

With a focus on inclusion and safeguarding, you will work with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support each pupil's academic and personal development.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with SEND children, ideally in a secondary setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with children and staff.
• Willingness to support pupils with a range of needs; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Over-seeing the day-to-day operation of the hub provision under the direction of the SEND support manager.
• Using co-regulation to support students who find it difficult to manage their emotions, helping the, settle and re-engage with learning.
• Supporting students to access and complete independent learning.
• Establishing a calm, purposeful environment through clear routines and consistent behaviour expectations.
• Helping students to return to lessons
• Communicating with relevant staff about students' engagement, completed work and any concerns.
• Work with a range of pupils, including those with SEND, to promote inclusion, engagement, and positive behaviour.
• Supervise pupils during transitions, break times, and other non-classroom activities as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support children's academic and personal development, including making calls and attending and contributing to meetings.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children in line with school policies and statutory requirements.
• Other duties as directed by the SENDCo.
