Job summary

Werneth Primary School is expanding its SEND provision and seeks an exceptional HLTA to join our new Inclusion Base for primary-aged pupils with social communication needs, including ASC.

This permanent post is 36.66 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, starting 4 January 2027, with pro rata salary and ongoing CPD opportunities. We welcome applicants who are committed to safeguarding and inclusive education within a welcoming school community.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent
• Experience of supporting learners with SEND and ASC
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Responsibilities

• Support learning for pupils in the Inclusion Base
• Assist delivery of tailored activities for ASC learners
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and wellbeing
