Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an SEND English Teacher for a full-time, permanent role in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The post focuses on high-quality, tailored teaching for pupils with diverse needs, including autism and other impairments.

You’ll work with the SENCO, support staff and parents to deliver EHCP outcomes, plan differentiated lessons, and support students aged 11-19 across KS2-KS4 in a progressive specialist school.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment).
• Calm, empathetic and resilient approach to classroom management.
• Passion for inclusive education and nurturing every child's progress.

Responsibilities

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £1,000-£1,450 per week (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

To be eligible you must

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
