Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND English Teacher in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The role focuses on delivering tailored English lessons to pupils aged 11-19 with complex learning needs, including autism.

You will collaborate with the SENCO, support staff and parents to ensure EHCP outcomes are met and students make steady progress. The position is full-time and permanent, with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge in mainstream.
• Ability to plan differentiated lessons and meet EHCP outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment)
• A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management
• Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every child's progress

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
