Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEND English Teacher in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. This full-time, permanent role starts Monday 14th September 2026, with a 8:30am–3:30pm schedule, and a weekly salary of 1,000–1,450 depending on experience and responsibilities.

You will deliver high-quality, tailored lessons to students aged 11–19 with complex learning needs, plan differentiations, and work closely with the SENCO, staff and parents to support holistic development.

• Experience teaching in an SEN setting or strong SEN knowledge in mainstream.
• Calm, empathetic and resilient approach to classroom management.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment)
• A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management
• Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every child's progress

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
