Job summary

Harlow College is seeking a Support Worker to provide practical learning guidance and personal care support for learners with learning difficulties. The role involves supporting individuals or small groups both in the classroom and off-site to enable independence.

Ideally you will have Level 2 Maths & English, good IT skills, and experience in an educational setting. The position is term-time only, with 30 hours per week, 36 weeks per year, 09:00-16:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 Maths & English and good IT skills.
• Experience with learners with learning difficulties or disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and communicate with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical learning guidance and personal care support for individual learners or small groups.
• Deliver employment training to enable learners to move toward independence.
• Work both in the classroom and off-site supporting learning.
