Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is recruiting for Learning Support Assistants to join a highly inclusive primary school in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire. You will support children with SEND through creative and play-based learning, helping them develop communication, independence and emotional wellbeing.

We welcome candidates from arts, drama, music, dance, sports coaching, youth work or other creative backgrounds who are passionate about making a difference.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Two professional references.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
• Ability to think creatively and adapt to individual needs.
• Confident in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND through creative and play-based learning activities.
• Encourage communication and social interaction.
• Help pupils build confidence and independence.
• Deliver personalised interventions and learning opportunities.
• Support sensory, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals.
• Create a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can flourish.
