Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd is seeking Learning Support Assistants to join a highly inclusive primary school in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire. You will work with children with a range of needs, delivering engaging activities and collaborating with teachers, therapists and families to promote independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Have professional experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Be patient, nurturing and resilient.
• Think creatively and adapt to individual needs.
• Confident building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Provide two years of professional references.
• Hold Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of SEND, helping them develop communication, independence, emotional wellbeing and key life skills.
• Deliver personalised interventions and learning opportunities.
• Support sensory, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals.
• Create a safe, positive and engaging environment where every child can flourish.
• Encourage communication and social interaction.
