Job summary

Woodlands School, part of Bourne Education Trust, seeks a SEND Class Teacher for its satellite provision at Cranmere Primary School in Esher. The role is full-time (32.5 hours) with a one-year fixed-term contract starting September 2026, with occasional travel across East Surrey.

You will deliver an inclusive curriculum for autistic pupils with learning difficulties, work with the SENCo on SEN Support, and contribute to safeguarding and CPD through ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the curriculum tailored to age and ability of pupils

  • Salary: Teachers Main to Upper Pay Scale (Fringe) £34,398 – £52,490 and SEN allowance

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability of the individuals and classes you teach, preparing and developing teaching materials, programmes and pastoral arrangements as appropriate.
  • Be accountable for the attainment, progress and outcomes of all pupils within your class(es), planning effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential.
  • Be aware of pupils’ capabilities, planning effectively to meet the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and work in collaboration with the SENCo to make an appropriate contribution to and participate in the preparation, implementation, monitoring and review of SEN Support Arrangements.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Evidence of effective continuous professional development.
