Job summary

Connect2Dorset is recruiting a SEND Case Officer to support the council's SEND service on a temporary contract. The role is based in Wareham with remote working available and runs for 2 weeks at a pay rate of £280–£290 per day.

You will manage SEND casework for children and young people aged 0–25, coordinate EHCP reviews, and ensure deadlines are met while working with families, schools, educational psychologists and partner agencies. Experience with SEND processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND statutory processes.
• Strong case management, planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage complex information and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage SEND casework for children and young people aged 0–25.
• Coordinate, review and amend EHCPs.
• Lead annual reviews and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
• Work closely with families, schools, educational psychologists, social care and partner agencies.
• Maintain up-to-date records and deliver clear stakeholder communications.
