Job summary

Connect2Dorset is recruiting a SEND Case Officer to join Dorset Council's SEND Service. You will manage casework for children and young people aged 0-25, coordinate EHCPs, and lead annual reviews to meet statutory deadlines.

You will work closely with families, schools, educational psychologists, social care and partner agencies in a flexible hybrid setup, with a commitment to supporting care-experienced young people and achieving positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people with SEND.
• Knowledge of EHCPs and SEND statutory processes.
• Strong case management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage SEND casework for children and young people aged 0-25.
• Coordinate and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Lead annual reviews and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
• Work closely with families, schools, Educational Psychologists, Social Care and partner agencies.
• Manage complex cases and maintain accurate records.
