Job summary

London Borough of Newham is recruiting SEND Case Officers to join a new multi-agency SEND service. The role involves managing a varied caseload for children and young people aged 0 to 25, prioritising person-centred planning and ensuring needs are reflected in plans.

The post offers hybrid working with a minimum three days remote per week, a salary of £44,184 to £47,262 per annum, and good transport links across London.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in education, childcare, local authority or related field with caseloads.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and practical application in service delivery.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a range of SEND case work for children and young people 0–25.
• Prioritise person-centred planning to reflect needs and ambitions in plans.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams including health, education and social care.
• Maintain effective working relationships at all levels and manage workload.
