Job summary

We Do Social Work is seeking a SEND Case Officer to join a dedicated team supporting children with SEND. The role focuses on caseload management, collaboration with families and schools, and ensuring appropriate provision and outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, safeguarding knowledge, and strong communication and IT skills. A Level 3 qualification or NVQ4 is desirable, with a commitment to safeguarding and multi-agency partnership working.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children and young people with SEND.
• Experience of representing an organisation within multi-agency forums.
• Understanding safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Support Senior Officers with allocated SEND caseloads and annual reviews.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, schools and partner agencies to identify needs and provision.
• Draft and amend EHC plans, ensuring they are person-centred and outcome-focused.
• Maintain accurate records and safeguarding compliance.
• Provide professional advice to stakeholders and maintain welfare focus.
