Job summary

Baltimore Consulting in London is seeking a SEND Case Officer on a 4-month initial contract, hybrid London-based, £280 per day. You will handle EHCP assessments, reviews and amendments, work to reduce the SEND case backlog, and ensure statutory timescales are met.

The role requires experience as SEND Case Officer in a Local Authority, strong knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice, and the ability to work with families, schools and stakeholders to progress cases

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a SEND Case Officer within a Local Authority
• Strong working knowledge of the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice
• Experience managing EHCP processes from assessment through to review
• Ability to work independently and prioritise a high-volume caseload
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of EHCP assessments, reviews and amendments
• Support the reduction of the SEND case backlog through effective case management
• Ensure compliance with statutory timescales and SEND legislation
• Work closely with families, schools and key stakeholders to progress cases
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on case progression
