Job summary

Suffolk County Council is seeking an Assistant Coordinator in the EHCNA Request Team in Ipswich. This role supports Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments by gathering data, coordinating information and liaising with families, schools and health professionals.

You will work in a hybrid setup with a minimum of two office days, contributing to high-quality outcomes for children and young people while developing your career within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with families, schools and professionals to gather information for EHCNA requests.
  • Collate information from diverse sources for presentation to a panel.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
  • Act as a key contact; respond to enquiries and provide timely updates.
  • Maintain accurate records using data systems and ensure security of information.
  • Monitor requests to ensure timelines and processes progress smoothly.
  • Collaborate with SEND service colleagues to support decisions and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and family experience.
