Job summary

Bury College invites applications for a SEND Advisory Tutor on a full-time, permanent basis. The role supports learners with SEND, EHCP and High Needs across all provision types and campuses, helping teachers and ALS integrate support into the curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have post-16 experience, a degree and teaching qualification, and a specialist SEND qualification or Level 7 SPLD; they will plan, implement and review targeted support to boost learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in the post-16 setting delivering additional learning support across disciplines.
• Proven ability to set targets and record progress of students.
• Knowledge of EHCP guidelines and RARPA processes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and review support for learners across curriculum areas.
• Identify and employ effective support strategies for students with additional needs.
• Liaise with course teams regarding learners with additional needs and EHCPs.
• Share best practice to enhance inclusivity of ALS in the curriculum.
