Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support secondary students aged 11-16 with SEND in the Bury area. You will provide in-class and small group support, helping students access the curriculum and reach their potential.

Role offers full-time or part-time options (3–5 days/week), with training provided and ongoing professional development. Competitive pay and weekly PAYE payments available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths qualification (GCSE C/4 or equivalent)
• Experience working with young people with SEND
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy and commitment to inclusive education

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND
• Adapt learning materials with teachers to ensure accessibility
• Support emotional and social development of students
• Maintain records of student progress and contribute to EHCPs
• Participate in training to enhance SEND expertise
