Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking a SEN Tutor to make a real difference in pupils’ lives in Bury and surrounding areas. You will deliver tailored 1:1 or small group tuition (up to 1:6) to help students exceed expectations, following EHCP plans and building confidence.

Choose between online or face-to-face sessions with flexible hours. This role offers year-round opportunities and professional growth through free e-learning modules and a dedicated delivery platform.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience working with SEN, disengaged youth, or within alternative provisions.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
• Strong IT competency and reliable broadband for online sessions.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to acquire one).
• An inspirational communication style that motivates and encourages students.

Responsibilities

• Tailored Tuition: Deliver 1:1 or small group sessions (up to 1:6) aligned with EHCP objectives.
• Strategic Planning: Create lesson plans reflecting individual plans and interests.
• Progress Tracking: Record attainment levels using the internal reporting system.
• Collaboration: Work with schools, foster carers, and social workers for holistic support.
• Safeguarding: Follow KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.
