Job summary

An experienced SENCO is sought for an immediate start at a large inclusive school in Barnet, North London. You will lead the strategic and day-to-day SEND provision, working closely with the Headteacher and SLT to drive high-quality support for pupils with SEND.

You will oversee identification, assessment and interventions, develop inclusive practices, lead staff training, coordinate with families and external agencies, and ensure compliant records and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SEND provision in a large school.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication with staff, parents and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SEND provision per Code of Practice.
• Oversee identification, assessment and support for SEND pupils.
• Develop inclusive provision across the school.
• Lead adaptive teaching and staff professional development.
• Support SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with staff, families and external agencies.
• Maintain SEND records, policies and safeguarding docs.
• Monitor progress and evaluate interventions.
