Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• NASENCO qualification or willingness to complete it is expected.
• Proven experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs.
• Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school's SEND provision.
• Identify and assess pupils with SEND.
• Coordinate and monitor interventions to support progress and wellbeing.
• Oversee EHCPs, support plans, and SEND documentation.
• Monitor progress of SEND pupils and evaluate interventions.
• Provide guidance and training to staff.
• Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities, and external agencies.
• Coordinate annual reviews and SEND processes.
• Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practice.
• Promote an inclusive school culture and drive school-wide improvement.
