Job summary

Bowlee Park Community School in Manchester is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join the senior leadership team and drive high-quality SEND provision across the school.

This is a non-teaching SENCO role offering strategic lead, collaboration with staff and families, and a strong emphasis on safeguarding, CPD and progression within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced SENCO with strategic SEND leadership.
• Non-teaching SENCO to lead and coordinate provision.
• Willing to complete NPQ/SENCO award within three years.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic SEN policy development and school provision.
• Coordinate day-to-day SEN policy operations and individual provision.
• Prepare annual EHCP review schedules and lead reviews.
• Support induction and training of staff on SEND.
• Liaise with Local Authority SEND team and external agencies.
• Ensure statutory duties for students with SEN are met.
