Job summary

Bowlee Park Community Primary School in Hindley seeks an experienced SENCO to lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the school. This is a non-teaching role working with the senior team to drive inclusion and ensure every pupil receives the support they need to thrive.

Working with the Headteacher, staff and external professionals, you will shape SEND strategy, monitor provision, coordinate EHCP processes and support induction and CPD for colleagues.

Qualifications

• Lead the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision.
• Ensure statutory responsibilities for all pupils with SEN or a disability.
• Coordinate assessments, planning and review processes for EHCPs.
• Support induction and CPD for staff delivering SEND provision.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development and implementation of the SEND policy.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and provision.
• Lead annual review scheduling and related paperwork for EHCPs.
• Support staff understanding and delivery of high-quality SEND provision.
• Collaborate with families, external professionals and LA SEND teams.
