We are recruiting on behalf of SENse Support.

What We Do

At SENse Support we’re building something special — a growing, neuroaffirming and trauma-informed organisation that delivers high-impact SEN advocacy for children and families across the UK. We support young people with complex special educational needs to have their voices heard and their rights upheld. Our mission is bold: to drive systemic change, one life-changing case at a time.

What We’re Looking For

We’re searching for an exceptional SENCO Advocate— someone with a calm presence, deep knowledge, and relentless compassion. This is a senior and strategic role at the heart of our mission.

You’ll manage complex advocacy cases from start to finish: from EHCP reviews to exclusions and tribunal representation. You’ll also lead and coordinate within our multi-disciplinary team, chairing assessment meetings and helping shape the future of SEN provision.

This role is perfect for a qualified SENCO with real leadership ambition, deep experience in SEN law, and a values-led drive to make education work for every child.

You’ll need

- The National Award in SEN Coordination (or equivalent)

- A Level 3 Award in SEN Law

- In-depth experience handling EHCPs, exclusions, and SENDIST tribunals

- A neuroaffirming, trauma-informed, and rights-based approach

- To be grounded, compassionate, and assertive

What We Can Offer

- A senior role with real influence and progression

- A dynamic, purpose-driven team that values autonomy, trust, and excellence

- The chance to lead, mentor, and shape a growing national advocacy service

- A working culture that respects lived experience, values diversity, and champions innovation in SEN practice

- A genuinely life-changing impact— for the families you support and the system you help transform

The Process

We want to get to know the real you. Here’s what to expect:

1. Initial Application & Telephone Screening – Tell us about your experience and what draws you to this role.

2. Conversation Stage & Practical Task– A virtual values-based interview to explore alignment and readiness plus the chance to showcase your expertise in a realistic advocacy scenario.

3. Final Interview – Meet the wider team and explore how you can grow with us.

Equal Opportunities & Safer Recruitment

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. SENse is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All offers of employment are subject to enhanced DBS checks and reference verification.
