The national campaign is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

The Borgen Project is an international organization that works at the political level to improve living conditions for people impacted by war, famine, and poverty.

With 20 years of experience in advocacy, The Borgen Project has supported the passage of numerous bills benefitting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Role: Advocate - an excellent entry-level volunteer position for those eager to contribute to The Borgen Project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as an ambassador for the world’s poor. Build awareness of issues and ways to help.
  2. Manage and implement fundraising campaigns.
  3. Represent The Borgen Project in your city by attending events and engaging people in the cause.
  4. Contact government leaders to support key poverty-reduction programs.
Qualifications

  • Salary: Unpaid
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Hours: 4 hours per week
