About The Borgen Project: The Borgen Project is an international organization working to reduce global poverty by influencing U.S. and U.K. foreign policy. With 20 years of advocacy experience, it has supported legislation benefitting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.

Position: Advocate

This entry-level volunteer role involves:

  1. Serving as an ambassador for the world’s poor by raising awareness and engaging the community.
  2. Managing and implementing fundraising campaigns.
  3. Representing The Borgen Project at local events and engaging with the community.
  4. Contacting government leaders to support poverty-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks.

Details:

  • Location: U.S., U.K., and Canada
  • Salary: Unpaid
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Hours: 4 hours per week
