Part-Time SENCO Opportunity - Hatfield (3 Days per Week)
Start Date: After Easter Break | Duration: Until End of Academic Year
Location: Hatfield | Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and experienced SENCO looking for a rewarding part-time role in a supportive and friendly school community?

Academics is delighted to be working with a wonderful one-form-entry primary school in Hatfield, who are seeking a dedicated SENCO to join their team 3 days a week from after the Easter break through to the end of the academic year.

The Role:

As SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies, you'll ensure that every child receives the support they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on SEND provision across the school
  • Coordinating and reviewing EHCPs, IEPs, and support plans
  • Supporting staff with strategies for differentiation and inclusion
  • Liaising with external professionals and maintaining accurate records
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it)
  • Have proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar SEND leadership role
  • Be highly organised, approachable, and child-centred
  • Be confident working collaboratively with staff and families
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
