Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated SENA Case Manager to oversee statutory SEND assessment, planning and review activities, coordinating Education, Health and Care needs assessments and EHC plans. You will work with families, schools and partner agencies to ensure timely, outcome-focused decisions.

The role emphasises safeguarding, accurate records, and adherence to statutory timescales, within a flexible hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
• Experience of managing casework involving children, young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with SEND.
• Coordinate EHC needs assessments and draft high-quality EHC Plans.
• Analyse advice from education, health and care professionals.
• Collaborate with parents, schools and partners for effective communication.
• Attend Annual Reviews and contribute to placement decisions.
• Prepare casework documentation for SEND Panels and Tribunal processes.
• Maintain accurate records and use IT systems for case management.
