Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a dedicated SENA Case Manager to join our SEND Assessment Service, supporting children, young people and families across Leicestershire through the SEND assessment, planning and review process.

In this role you will manage caseloads, co-ordinate EHCPs, work with families, schools and partners, ensure statutory timescales are met and maintain accurate records. An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEND, education, social care or related field.
• Knowledge of SEND legislation and Code of Practice.
• Experience managing casework for children and families.
• Strong communication and engagement with families.
• Ability to analyse information for clear decisions.
• Good organisation to meet statutory deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of SEND children and young people.
• Coordinate Education, Health and Care Assessments.
• Draft high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans.
• Contribute to Annual Reviews and placement decisions.
• Prepare casework documentation for SEND panels.
• Maintain accurate records using IT systems.
• Support safeguarding and work with partner agencies.
• Attend team duties and meet deadlines.
