Job summary

Education World Ltd. is seeking dedicated tutors to support young people with SEN/SEMH needs in 1:1 settings across the North East, specifically North Tyneside. Roles involve working with learners currently out of mainstream education, delivering tailored academic and pastoral support to re-engage them with learning.

You will provide 1:1 sessions in home or community settings, manage your schedule, and collaborate with families and professionals to monitor progress and support development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or vulnerable learners
• A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• A genuine passion for supporting young people who need an alternative approach to education

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 personalised sessions in a home or community setting - reliable travel required
• Support students with SEN and/or SEMH needs, adapting your approach accordingly
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Build positive, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to support ongoing development - both weekly and termly
• Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external professionals

Education World is working in partnership with local authorities and alternative provisions to recruitdedicated tutorsto support young people withSpecial Educational Needs (SEN)andSocial, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)needs in1:1 settings.

The Role

As a tutor, you will:

What We’re Looking For

Pay Rates

• £25 per hour– Tutors with relevant experience
• £30 per hour– Qualified Teachers (QTS)
