Job summary
Education World Ltd is seeking dedicated SEN/SEMH tutors to deliver 1:1 sessions in home or community settings across South Tyneside and the North East.
You will support students with SEN/SEMH, build relationships, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and external professionals. Roles involve reliable travel and flexible scheduling; pay rates are £25–£30 per hour, with weekly PAYE payroll.
Qualifications
- Experience working with SEN, SEMH, or vulnerable learners.
- Calm, patient, and adaptable approach.
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage own schedule.
- Genuine passion for supporting young people who need an alternative approach to education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 personalised sessions in a home or community setting - reliable travel required.
- Support students with SEN and/or SEMH needs, adapting your approach accordingly.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to support ongoing development - both weekly and termly.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external professionals.
