Prospero Teaching in the South Tyneside area is seeking SEN Tutors to deliver one-to-one or small group sessions for students with Special Educational Needs. You will plan and deliver tailored lessons, support the pupil's learning, and help integrate routines until a suitable placement is found.
Tutoring may occur at the pupil’s home or in a community setting; hours are flexible, with part-time or full-time availability and a rate of up to £30 per hour.
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils, SEND teams and Schools throughout the UK. We have a high demand for one-to-one or small group SEND Specialist Tutors who have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the South Tyneside area.
As a SEN Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each individual student. You may be an experienced tutor or teacher or have experience of working with children in a therapeutic way. One of your aims will be to support the pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine and continue their educational development until a suitable placement is found.
The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned for a certain amount of hours, taking place during school hours, five days a week. Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports. We can accommodate both part time and full time hours.
