Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a patient and engaging SEN tutor to provide 1-to-1 support for pupils in the Rochdale area, including learners who may not have been in a traditional school setting.

The tutor will create and deliver learning plans, use a therapeutic approach to re-engage learners, and monitor progress with weekly reports. This is a part-time role replacing school, with flexible timings to fit families.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential.
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 SEN tutoring in the Rochdale area.
• Create and deliver learning plans for individual pupils.
• Submit weekly progress reports on pupil development.
• Support pupil engagement and return to a traditional educational setting.
