Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to work in the Thornton area, providing 1 to 1 support to pupils with SEN. The role is part-time and runs during school hours, five days a week, with flexible scheduling to fit families.

The successful tutor will be patient, empathetic and able to create learning plans tailored to individual needs. A therapeutic approach may be employed to re-engage learners and help them return to an educational setting.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent, or tutoring experience.
• UK classroom teaching experience preferred.
• Creative, patient and able to think outside the box.
• Experience with SEND or disengaged pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 SEN support to pupils.
• Create and deliver personalized learning plans.
• Submit weekly progress reports.
