Job summary

Prospero Teaching in the Garstang area is seeking an inspirational SEN Tutor to provide 1-to-1 support for students with SEN needs. You will design and deliver learning plans, using a therapeutic approach to re-engage learners and help them return to an educational setting.

The role is normally part-time, during school hours, five days a week, with flexible hours to fit family schedules. Weekly progress reports will be submitted to monitor pupil progression.

Qualifications

• QTS or tutoring experience required or equivalent qualification.
• UK classroom experience preferred but not essential.
• Creative, patient and able to think outside the box.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 SEN tutoring in home or community settings.
• Create and deliver learning plans for individual pupils.
• Be patient, empathetic and re-engage learners using therapeutic approaches.
• Submit weekly progress reports on pupil progression.
