Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting SEN Provision Teaching Assistant in West Bromwich to support a pupil 1:1 in and out of class, helping access learning and build confidence.

You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs, assist in planning engaging activities, manage behaviour positively, and contribute to social and emotional development. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school setting is preferable.
• Understanding of supporting pupils with SEN or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills are important.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

SEN Provision Teaching Assistant - West Bromwich

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in West Bromwich. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their SEND Provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
