Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a SEN Provision Teaching Assistant for a role in West Bromwich. You will provide one-to-one support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning and grow in confidence within the school environment.

You will collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to plan engaging activities, support behavioural and social development, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children, ideally in a school.
• Understanding of SEN/additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic and strong communicator.
• Level 2/3 TA qualifications desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

SEN Provision Teaching Assistant - West Bromwich

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 121 Teaching Assistants to join our Aspire Team and work in one of our schools in West Bromwich. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the school environment in their SEND Provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
• Help to manage behaviour in a positive and consistent way.
• Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a school setting).
• Understanding of supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
• Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential.
