Job summary

The Youth Education Service is recruiting Teaching Assistants to support an SEN school in Wirral within Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. You will work under teachers, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, promoting development and independence.

Hours are 08:30 to 16:00 with daily pay between £95.78 and £109.83. The role offers the chance to join a growing team dedicated to high standards and safeguarding, with training and ongoing development provided.

Qualifications

• Motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children.
• Knowledge of safeguarding young people and willingness to undertake further training.
• Excellent team player with a positive and resilient nature.

Responsibilities

• Work under guidance of teaching staff in a Year 4 SEN classroom, 1:1 support or small groups.
• Liaise with teachers regarding daily/weekly programmes and assist with plans.
• Prepare, tidy and clean equipment; support pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Promote pupil development in a safe, challenging environment and maintain confidentiality.
