Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across specialist SEND schools in the West Midlands. You’ll work with children with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and complex needs, with some roles involving personal care and medical support.

We welcome candidates with Level 3 TA or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualifications, or transferable care experience. Positions are available on day-to-day, short-term and longer-term basis.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Relevant transferable experience in care, residential settings or support work.
• Comfortable with personal care and complex needs.
• Patient, compassionate and adaptable approach.
• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs & Personal Care

Aspire People are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across specialist SEND schools.

You’ll be working with children and young people with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, SEMH and complex needs. Some roles will involve personal care, medical needs and physical support, so candidates must be comfortable with this aspect of the role.

We’re looking for:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification OR


• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification OR


• Relevant transferable experience in care, residential settings, support work, youth work or similar


• Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable


• A patient, caring and adaptable approach


• Comfortable supporting with personal care and complex needs
