Academics Agency is hiring Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in Rotherham to support learners with diverse needs in specialist settings. You will assist in 1:1 and small-group contexts, adapting activities to suit each child and helping them engage with learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified or experienced SEN TA at Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or other additional needs.
• Able to adapt strategies and build confidence in learners.

Responsabilités

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to build core skills.
• Adapt lessons, resources and approaches for each learner.
• Use positive strategies to turn behaviour into progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and families to track progress.
• Meet each child where they are and help them progress.

YOUR MISSION (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT):

• Be their champion - support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building confidence and core skills.
• Think on your feet - adapt lessons, resources, and approaches to fit each unique learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress - use positive, tailored strategies that build self-esteem and engagement.
• Collaborate like a pro - work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.
• Embrace every challenge - from sensory sensitivities to speech delays, you'll meet each child where they are and take them further.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Qualified or experienced - Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy - you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
• Calm under pressure - patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS-ready - Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one fast.
• Reference-perfect - two strong professional references ready to go.
