Job summary

Academics in Rotherham are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream schools. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help learners overcome barriers and thrive in a busy classroom.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Rotherham

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream schools in Rotherham?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for temporary, ongoing supply work across mainstream primary and secondary schools in Rotherham.

This SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs who can provide patient, consistent and individualised support. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and thrive within a mainstream Rotherham school.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £92.56 - £100 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Rotherham, you will support pupils with additional needs within a mainstream classroom environment.

The SEN Teaching Assistant may provide 1:1, small-group or whole-class support depending on the needs of the pupil and school. This could include supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties or other additional needs.
