Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in South Manchester. You will work with pupils with special educational needs, supporting learning and development while collaborating with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team.

This role welcomes graduates or candidates with transferable experience from childcare, youth work, tutoring or coaching. You will help pupils access learning, build confidence and stay safe, included and valued in the

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people and SEN needs desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils to access lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to understand and meet learning needs.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Adapt activities and resources to meet individual pupil needs.
