Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Sutton, starting September 2026. This full-time supply role runs Monday to Friday, 8:15am–4:00pm, with flexibility across year groups to support pupils with diverse needs.

Ideal candidates will have SEN experience in a UK primary setting, a patient, calm approach, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a UK primary school setting.
• Patience, calmness and adaptability are essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
• Work flexibly across different year groups as required.
• Help pupils access learning and participate in the classroom.
• Promote positive behaviour, independence and confidence.
• Adapt support to meet individual pupil needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers and the school team.
