Job summary

Veritas Education recruitment ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a Middlesbrough primary school. This full-time, long-term role starts ASAP and involves supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH and sensory needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group support.

You will help children access learning, build confidence and regulate emotions in a calm, patient way. The position offers competitive PAYE daily rates of £95-£110 and an opportunity to grow through CPD training within a supportive

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs.
Calm, patient and proactive approach.
Ability to stay positive during challenging situations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Support children with sensory processing needs and emotional regulation
Help implement strategies to maintain a positive and structured learning environment
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Encourage engagement, independence and positive social interactions
Support learning activities both inside and outside the classroom
