Veritas Education recruitment ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a Middlesbrough primary school. This full-time, long-term role starts ASAP and involves supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH and sensory needs, delivering 1:1 and small-group support.

SEN Teaching Assistant

Middlesbrough Full-Time Long-Term Temporary Start ASAP

£95-£110 p/day

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive in a primary school environment?

A vibrant and welcoming primary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a long-term opportunity, working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of sensory and additional learning needs.

You will provide tailored support to children across the school, helping them access learning, develop confidence and regulate their emotions throughout the school day. Some pupils have significant sensory needs and may become dysregulated at times, which can result in challenging behaviours. As such, patience, resilience and a calm, nurturing approach are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Support children with sensory processing needs and emotional regulation
