Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role at a Newham school. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and stay engaged in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Experience supporting students with SEN is advantageous.
• A patient, caring and positive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support
• Assist students with accessing lessons and completing activities
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development
• Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and independence
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff
• Adapt support according to individual student needs
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
